Livable Buckhead Announces Two Events to Celebrate PATH400 Expansion
Ribbon Cutting celebrates new trail opening on September 26 with Atlanta City Councilman Howard Shook; Party on the PATH returns October 5 featuring Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens at VIP reception
ATLANTA – Sept. 15, 2025 – Livable Buckhead today announced two events celebrating PATH400, the 5.2-mile greenway running through the heart of the community. The festivities include a ribbon cutting on Friday, September 26, to open a new section of the trail, and the annual Party on the PATH fundraiser on Sunday, October 5, featuring a VIP reception with Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens.
Celebrations begin with the PATH400 Ribbon Cutting and Fall Festival on September 26, which will mark the official opening of the trail’s newest segment between Wieuca Rd. and Loridans Dr. Atlanta City Councilman Howard Shook will lead a ribbon cutting ceremony on the trail’s bridge that soars more than 60 feet above Mountain Way Common. Festivities continue with opportunities for residents to explore the new path and enjoy family-friendly, seasonal activities.
On October 5, hundreds will gather for Party on the PATH, Livable Buckhead’s signature fundraiser supporting the organization’s work on sustainability, greenspace, public art and other initiatives that help Buckhead thrive. The event takes place at Eclipse di Luna — where PATH400 enters Miami Circle – and features Spanish-style tapas, Sangria and live music by the Atlanta Soul Band.
A special VIP reception will precede the main party, offering sponsors and distinguished guests an exclusive opportunity to mingle with Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens. His attendance underscores the city’s support for PATH400 and the trail’s role in connecting communities and promoting a more walkable, bikeable Atlanta.
General admission tickets for Party on the PATH are $75 each and include tapas and two drink tickets. VIP tickets are $100 each and include a pre-event cocktail hour with tapas, an open bar and a swag bag. Tickets can be purchased at http://livablebuckhead.org/pop/ and proceeds from the event support Livable Buckhead, a nonprofit organization working to ensure the long-term viability and prosperity of the Buckhead community.
“We’re not just celebrating a new section of PATH400 — we’re bringing the community together and making Buckhead an even better place to live,” said Denise Starling, executive director of Livable Buckhead. “PATH400 is proof of what we can accomplish when our community comes together to create welcoming, vibrant spaces for everyone.” The expansion of PATH400 provides residents with more green space for recreation and alternative transportation, strengthening the fabric of the Buckhead community and beyond.
Party on the PATH is sponsored by Velociti, Tower Wine & Spirits, RoughDraft Atlanta, Buckhead Community Improvement District, Buckhead Coalition, Audi Atlanta, Tradition Trees and Buckhead Village District.
