Reaching New Heights

Building Connections, Building Community

On Friday, September 26, join us at Mountain Way Common to celebrate Buckhead’s newest landmark with a community party full of festive fall vibes, family fun, and even pup-friendly activities. PATH400 is more than a trail. It’s a vision for a greener, more connected Atlanta and this bridge is a major milestone. Soaring 80 feet above Mountain Way Common, the newest section links neighbors, nature, and the future of our city’s trail network.

Thanks to the North Buckhead Civic Association, local favorites will keep you fueled with tacos, hot dogs, popsicles, and lemonade, while friends and families relax on picnic blankets and hay bales as music fills the park.

Bring the Kids and Let the Fun Begin!

Let the kids take center stage as Mountain Way Common transforms into a lively playground. The Family Fun Zone is filled with energy and laughter as little ones race in sacks, battle it out in tug-of-war, and spin hula hoops with friends. Bubbles float overhead, chalk art brightens the sidewalks, and face painters bring out butterflies, superheroes, and sparkling designs.

Parents cheer from the sidelines, neighbors snap photos, and every corner of the park offers another chance for joy. From obstacle courses to bubble wands, the games bring out friendly competition and big smiles. This is the heart of the celebration, where children’s laughter fills the trees and families discover why Mountain Way Common is Buckhead’s most unexpected park.

Pumpkins, Pollinators & Playtime at Garden 684

Celebrate the magic of autumn in Buckhead’s hidden garden! Kids can pick their very own mini pumpkin, families can pose for festive fall photos among hay bales and mums, and everyone can explore the buzz of our pollinator pals.

Meet real beekeepers, taste fresh honey, and play along with bee bingo or a scavenger hunt to spot the flowers that bees love most. It’s a festive corner full of color, flavor, and discovery—where pumpkins, pollinators, and photo ops come together for the perfect fall adventure.

Tails on the Trail

Because every great trail deserves a wagging tail, we’re rolling out the red carpet for our four-legged friends! Bring your pup to enjoy a splash pad to cool off, a treat tent filled with pup-cakes and goodies, and a free “Paws on the PATH” bandana for the first furry guests. Join the special doggie parade up the bridge, where costumes and creativity are always encouraged, and let your pet strut their stuff alongside the community.

Capture the moment with a fall-themed photo booth complete with pumpkins, hay bales, and trail signs, perfect for that frame-worthy shot. From playful splashes to wagging tails, this zone is all about celebrating the bond between people, pets, and PATH400. It’s a paw-sitively perfect way for your pup to join in Buckhead’s newest connection.

The Big Moment

At 4:45PM, the celebration reaches its peak as we officially open the bridge with a ribbon cutting unlike anything Buckhead has ever seen.

Picture it: a joyful procession of kids on scooters, families walking hand in hand, and dogs trotting proudly up the ramp, all leading the way to the moment we have been waiting for. The community gathers high above the trees with anticipation building as the oversized scissors come out. Then the ribbon is cut and the bridge is alive. Suddenly, bubble “fireworks” burst into the air, drifting across the treetops in a dazzling cloud of light and movement. It is more than a ceremony. It is a once-in-a-generation milestone, a breathtaking symbol of how PATH400 connects neighbors, nature, and the future of our city.
