Additional Considerations

  • The committee commends the applicant on this development/use which is a much-needed amenity for the area as well as one that the committee has encouraged the owner to incorporate since the original plans for the development were submitted.
  • The committee recommends the applicant remove the covering on the lower level windows on the Lakeside Drive elevation. Even though there will be shelves displaying products, these windows can be left without covering so as to be able to see activity inside.  It has been done successfully at other restaurant that also have a retail component.
  • The committee commends the applicant for providing direct public access from the patio to the sidewalk.

 The Development Committee does not expect to see this applicant again unless significant changes are made to the proposed plans that necessitate additional variations or the City staff requests additional input from the DRC.
