After Atlanta’s World Cup Draw Street Watch Party Here Is How to Get 2026 Tickets
Atlanta’s excitement was on full display yesterday as fans filled Buckhead Village for the World Cup Draw Street Watch Party. Now that matchups and host cities are finalized the focus turns to ticket access. FIFA opens its final ticket lottery on December 11 and fans can apply for specific matches and ticket categories anytime before January 13. There is no advantage to applying early and FIFA will notify applicants in February with successful applicants automatically charged.
World Cup tickets are sold by category rather than seat location. Category 1 offers the closest views while Categories 2 and 3 cover upper sideline and end line sections. Category 4 is extremely limited and placed in the upper corners. If fans do not secure tickets in the lottery a last minute sales phase will follow this spring though availability is uncertain. Resale is another option through FIFA’s platform or third party sites which may show lower prices but offer less certainty, and many resale prices tend to soften closer to match day except for the most in demand matches.
Supporters of specific national teams can also apply for federation allocated tickets beginning December 11 although each country sets its own eligibility rules. International visitors should remember that match tickets do not guarantee entry into the United States. Standard visas or visa waivers are still required and a new program called FIFA PASS will offer expedited visa interviews while still requiring all normal screening.
The draw watch party showed how eager Atlanta is for its moment on the world stage. With ticket sales about to open the road to 2026 becomes more real and fans can finally take concrete steps toward being part of an unforgettable World Cup experience in Atlanta.
