Resurgens Plaza x Bee Downtown Partnership: BEEing a part of the Sustainable Impact in Buckhead

 In Sustainability

It’s no secret that the bee population is dying at an alarming rate. As the number one pollinator in the world, honeybees are responsible for pollination of 70 of the world’s top 100 food crops. Just think, every third bite of food you eat can be contributed to one of these pollinators.

In efforts to promote positive bee population growth and sustainability, Resurgens Plaza partnered with Bee Downtown to house three-honeybee hives on the rooftop terrace. With approximately 180,000 honeybees, the Buckhead, Brookhaven, and Peachtree Hills communities will be positively impacted from our newest tenants.

The promotion of bee population growth isn’t the only thing housing hives will offer. Tenant engagement will include team building programming, including a Leadership Institute catered to teaching company leaders “beehive mentality” and how to better improve performance and productivity from their teams. Interactive hive tours, honey tasting and pairing events, and best bee costume contest are just a few ways to allow tenants to engage with the hives.

This year, tenants will have the opportunity to own their own jar of Resurgens Plaza honey!

As we continue our BEE-utiful partnership with the Bee Downtown, we expect our hives to produce a thriving bee population in the Buckhead community for years to come.
