Pitch In, Together: Volunteer with Lifecycle Building Center
Looking for a meaningful way to spend time as a family, give back to the community, or connect with neighbors over a shared purpose? Lifecycle Building Center (LBC) offers hands-on volunteer opportunities that make a real impact right here in Atlanta.
LBC is a nonprofit that salvages building materials like doors, cabinets, and lighting fixtures and gives them a second life. Since opening, they’ve kept more than 9 million pounds of material out of landfills, supported hundreds of local nonprofits with free supplies, and offered green job training programs to help build a more sustainable future.
Their work aligns closely with Livable Buckhead’s mission to create a greener, more connected Atlanta and it’s something Buckhead families can be a part of.
Volunteer Your Way
Whether you’re bringing the kids for a weekend service day or joining up with a school, scout troop, or neighborhood group, LBC has something for everyone:
-
Hands-on and active? Deconstruct cabinets, sort reclaimed wood, or prep materials for reuse.
-
Prefer something lighter? Help organize hardware, tidy shelves, or support behind-the-scenes tasks.
It’s a great way to teach kids about sustainability, spend quality time together, and do something good for the planet and your community.
Either way, you’ll will make a tangible impact while enjoying a rewarding, fun day.
Volunteering at Lifecycle Building Center is a great way for families and neighbors to come together and make a real difference in our community. Their mission of reuse and sustainability aligns perfectly with Livable Buckhead’s work to create a greener Atlanta. Plus it’s fun! ~ Helen Petersen, Sustainability Manager, Livable Buckhead
