Mobility Spotlight: Salto Systems
Founded in 2001, SALTO Systems is a global leader in electronic smart access control and keyless entry solutions. Their innovative technology replaces traditional mechanical keys with digital, cloud-based, and mobile credentials, allowing users to securely access buildings using smartphones, smart cards, and key fobs. Serving industries including commercial offices, healthcare, hospitality, education, and multifamily housing, SALTO is helping organizations modernize how people move through and interact with spaces around the world.
In 2026, SALTO Systems moved their operations from Norcross to Buckhead, bringing approximately 50 employees to the district. As a new Livable Buckhead member and employer partner, SALTO quickly demonstrated a commitment to supporting employee mobility and exploring transportation solutions that improve the daily commute experience for its workforce.
Building a Mobility-First Workplace
Livable Buckhead met with SALTO’s benefits team to introduce the organization’s transportation demand management programs and commute resources. With employees transitioning to a new workplace location, SALTO recognized the importance of providing transportation options that could help reduce commute challenges while improving employee satisfaction and retention.
As a result of these discussions, SALTO joined Livable Buckhead’s Discounted Transit Pass Program, providing employees with access to unlimited MARTA transit passes at a reduced cost. Livable Buckhead also successfully guided the company through MARTA’s Better Breeze transition, ensuring a seamless onboarding experience for both the organization and its employees.
Developing a Comprehensive Mobility Plan
SALTO has actively distributed information about Livable Buckhead’s commute programs and transportation resources to employees. Follow-up meetings with the HR team focused on expanding awareness of available mobility options, including MARTA service updates, The Buc Shuttle, construction mitigation resources, and participation opportunities through our Score the Way You Go campaign.
During the FIFA World Cup, Livable Buckhead also provided SALTO with transportation resources and information on extended Buc Shuttle service hours, helping employees navigate increased activity in the district while encouraging the use of alternative transportation options.
Looking ahead, Livable Buckhead and SALTO will continue working together to develop a comprehensive mobility plan tailored to the needs of their workforce. This effort will help identify commuting challenges, evaluate travel patterns, and provide customized recommendations that improve access to the workplace while supporting employee well-being.
