Heads Up, MARTA Riders: Faregate Upgrades Are Coming

MARTA is beginning a systemwide upgrade to its Breeze fare payment system, which means select faregates will temporarily close at select stations. These improvements are part of a long-term effort to upgrade fare technology and improve reliability for riders. While most stations will remain open and accessible, commuters should allow a little extra time and stay informed about station-specific impacts. Better Breeze Equipment Installation In Progress at Lindbergh Station

• Lindbergh Center Station northwest faregates by bus loops + southeast faregates closed.
  • Use southwest faregates on Garson Drive or northeast faregates across from MARTA headquarters.
• Customers should continue using current fare (Breeze cards and the mobile app) and equipment until the transition in April 2026.
