Celebrate some of the most notable days of February in Buckhead. In partnership with the Buckhead Village District, Livable Buckhead presents Reels on Wheels, a February edition of the popular drive-in movie series that was launched in December.

On February 13th, 14th, and 20th, order a meal from partnering restaurants Shake Shack, Fado or Biltong Bar, then enjoy a special screening in our parking lot turned cinema. Tickets for each event are $35 per vehicle with a $5 discount for Livable Buckhead members, and there will be front row seats reserved for those who bike or walk at the price of $10 per person. If you arrive in an electric vehicle, you’ll receive a complimentary Livable Buckhead Community Partner Individual Membership.

Originally starting as a celebration of Lesley Knope’s girlfriends from the hit TV show “Parks and Rec,” Galentine’s Day has now evolved into its own kind of holiday. Whether you have Valentine’s plans or not, all gals can find something to celebrate on Valentine’s Day Eve with their best group of girlfriends.

The Galentine’s Day celebration starts at 7 p.m. with live performances by comedians Katie Hughes and Kiana Dancie. The evening continues with an 8 p.m. showing of “Mean Girls,” the hilarious story of formerly homeschooled Cady Heron trying to make her way through public school and getting involved with “the plastics” – the meanest girls around.

The parking lot turned cinema is located at 309 Buckhead Avenue NE in the Buckhead Village District. When you arrive, have your confirmation email ready for scanning. Head toward the designated area for drive-in guests, and let staff direct you to a spot. The suggestion is to arrive at least 20 minutes before showtime — but tailgating is allowed, if you want to come early. You’re free to bring lawn chairs and sit outside in this spot, as long as groups stay 6-feet apart from each other. All attendees however must be masked if not eating or sitting inside your vehicle

You can order food and drink from a mobile interface, and have it delivered right to your vehicle. You’ll get movie sound either through your FM radio, or the outdoor speakers. Bathrooms are a short walk from the movie lot inside the Buckhead Village District.

On Saturday, February 20th, Livable Buckhead invites you to celebrate Black History Month with a double feature that is suitable for the whole family.

The line-up begins at 7 p.m. with Hidden Figures, a movie that was filmed primarily in Atlanta. This movie tells the remarkable story of African-American female mathematicians who worked at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) during the space race. Next up is Black Panther, which follows T’Challa as he is crowned king of Wakanda following his father’s death. He soon finds himself challenged by Killmonger who plans to abandon the country’s isolationist policies and begin a global revolution.
