PARK(ing) Day Workshop

Are you less architecturally inclined, but want to participate in the fun and excitement of PARK(ing) Day?

Join us as we help you learn how to create a temporary space into your vision of greenspace. This workshop will include a brief discussion on what tactical urbanism is and how that type of temporary placemaking has a value on the long term growth of a community. We will show some examples of what winning participants have created in the past and a past participant will discuss their planning process, what successes and pitfalls.

We’ll end with a brain storming session, so that by the time we are finished, each group will a game plan on what they’d like to build and what supplies they’ll need.
