3500 peachtree road – arhaus

Project Scope:   The applicant requests to update the portion of the Phipps Plaza Mall façade occupied by Arhaus on the western (Lenox Road) side of the property. The canopy over Arhaus’s direct entry will be truncated slightly and additional fenestration added to the structure with new exterior finishes tying the improvements together and improving the overall look of that side of the mall.  No change in use or size is proposed.

Committee Recommendation: The DRC recommends approval of the proposed SAP.

Additional Recommendations: The committee encouraged the applicant to investigate more visually interesting alternatives to using mirrored glass on the faux windows being added to the façade.

The Development Committee does NOT expect to see this applicant again provided no significant changes need to be made to the proposed plans that necessitate additional variations, and the City staff and/or Neighborhood Association requests additional input from the DRC
