In celebration of its grand opening, the brand-new Hyatt Centric Buckhead Atlanta held a ribbon cutting ceremony followed by a grand opening event on Wednesday, March 16th.

The ribbon cutting featured remarks from General Manager Kristi Cotten-Morris and Hyatt Hotels Corporation’s Senior Vice President of Field Operations Michael Jokovich. They were joined by David Songy, Chief Executive Officer of the hotel’s ownership team Songy Highroads, and Bradley Miller, Regional Vice President of Asset Management at Hyatt Hotels.

Following the ribbon cutting was an evening event that featured a variety of local artists and entertainment including Atlanta-based ballerinas, a pottery demonstration from Buckhead-based artist Tania Julian, fashion designers from the neighborhood, and a celebratory Georgia drumline. Guests enjoyed musical performances by a local violinist and celebrated the night with a DJ set by DJ Ree in the hotel’s rooftop bar Spaceman. Throughout the evening, party attendees enjoyed food and drinks from James Beard Award-winning chef Hugh Acheson. Guests also celebrated the hotel’s grand opening with a 360-degree photobooth and cold sparklers.
