“Sleigh-in” Movie: A Christmas Story

Presented as part of Miracle on Peachtree and located at 309 Buckhead Avenue NE, the “sleigh-in” movie series invites people of all ages to enjoy holiday classics outdoors this holiday season. Grab a meal from neighboring restaurants Fado, Taverna or Biltong Bar, then take in a screening of one (or more) of these holiday classics. Spots are limited, so advance ticket purchases are encouraged. Tickets range from $25 to $40 for vehicles ($5 discount for Livable Buckhead members and electric vehicles), and there will be front row seats reserved for those who bike or walk ($10 per person).
A Christmas Story is a 1983 American Christmas comedy film directed by Bob Clark and based on Jean Shepherd’s semi-fictional anecdotes in his 1966 book In God We Trust: All Others Pay Cash, with some elements from his 1971 book Wanda Hickey’s Night of Golden Memories and Other Disasters. It stars Melinda Dillon, Darren McGavin, and Peter Billingsley and is a seasonal classic in North America.
