Are you a hybrid carpooler?
Hybrid workers have the flexibility to travel to the office a couple days a week or a few days a month. Hybrid workers who share the ride to work and log at least 8 trips or more per month are eligible to earn a $15 gas card each month.
Are you a full-time carpooler?
Employees who travel to their worksite regularly and choose an alternative commute should be rewarded for their contributions to going green. Carpools that log at least 30 trips per month are eligible to receive a $30 gas card each month.
*A trip is defined as a one-way commute. Therefore, your travel to work and back is equal to two commute trips.
The number of carpool trips you log may vary month to month depending on your work schedule.

Sign-up bonus
If you are new to carpooling or haven’t logged a trip within the past year, you will be eligible to receive a $20 gas card signing bonus after you log your first month of carpool trips!
Regional Incentives
In addition, you may qualify to earn up to $150 for adding a person to your commute and for a free taxi ride home in case of a personal emergency.
$40-$60 GAS CARDS from Georgia Commute Options: The more riders in each carpool, the fewer cars we have on our roads every day. That’s why carpools with 3 or more riders can qualify for a little extra cash.
Are you eligible?
- Are you carpooling to and from work?
- Does your carpool have at least three riders (one can include your spouse or partner)?
- Do live or work in one of the following counties?: Barrow, Bartow, Carroll, Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, Coweta, DeKalb, Douglas, Fayette, Forsyth, Fulton, Gwinnett, Henry, Newton, Paulding, Rockdale, Spalding, Walton
- Can you provide a physical home or work address (not a P.O. box)?
What do you get?
- You can earn monthly gas cards for 12 months within a 3-year period.
- Carpools with at least three people can earn a $40 gas card each month
- Carpools with four or more people can earn a $60 gas card each month
How to get started carpooling:
- Find a carpool partner. If you don’t have a carpool partner, you can easily find someone who works and lives near you with the same schedule through Georgia Commute Options.
- Meet your carpool partner(s). Arrange a sit-down meeting/lunch at a neutral location with your new carpool partner(s). Livable Buckhead’s outreach staff is more than happy to assist you in coordinating this meeting.
- Designate a meeting spot for your morning and afternoon pick ups. There are numerous park and ride lots in the metro Atlanta area.
- Designate meeting times for both morning and evening pick ups.
- Determine driving responsibilities, cost-sharing, and back-up plans.
- Register for ‘Pool Perks.
