We’re long overdue for a get-together, and we’re kicking things off in the best way possible — outdoors. Join us at the Blue Heron Nature Preserve for our next Sustainability Committee meeting. We’ll start with a light walk through one of Atlanta’s hidden gems before diving into key sustainability topics in a serene natural setting.

This meeting will spotlight the proposed PATH400 connection to Blue Heron and Chastain Park, an exciting initiative that would link Buckhead’s core to nearby neighborhoods, parks, and schools through safe and accessible multi-use trails. We’ll also share updates on two major programs launching this fall:

Buckhead’s Compost Competition
An EPA grant funded initiative offering free composting services and education to 15 multifamily properties

Embodied Carbon Zoning Amendment
A policy proposal encouraging the use of low carbon building materials in new construction projects, based on recent community engagement
