Beehive Demonstration

Join us to watch and learn from a live beehive inspection. Our beekeeper, Tim Doherty with Doc’s Healing Hives, will open honeybee hives, pull out their frames, and explain what he’s observing and why it’s of note. The hives were placed here last year to educate our community on the importance of bees. We will also have “Feed the Bee” seeds (a.k.a. pollinator seeds) for folks to take home and plant in their own yards to support their local pollinator friends, as well as honey for sale from Tim’s own hives. Following the demonstration, all are welcome to continue enjoying their afternoon in the park with food, drinks, games, and other activities.
