Miguel is a University of South Florida Graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Environmental Policy and a master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning. He has worked in the private and volunteer sector on a range of planning projects including Transit Oriented development, Transportation Planning, Historic Preservation, Environmental Policy and Community Development. Additionally, Miguel has played a significant role with the Tampa Downtown Partnership to develop a permanent vendor program for the City of Tampa. His experience in planning issues has led him to form partnerships with municipalities, consulting firms and transit agencies to influence planning policies. Miguel continues to advocate on social justice issues and hopes to continue to promote policies to improve community well-being.
