Getting Outside is Good for You and Buckhead!

In Community, Employer, Health and Wellness, Mobility, Mobility, PATH400

A new report shows what we already see every day in Buckhead: getting outside matters.

Outdoor recreation contributed $20.7 billion to Georgia’s economy in 2024 and supports more than 168,000 jobs. From walking and biking to concerts and parks, these everyday activities are driving real impact across our state.

Right here in Buckhead, we’re lucky to have access to trails like PATH400, walkable destinations, and growing green space that make it easier to choose a more active way to get around.

That’s exactly why Livable Buckhead created the annual health and wellness challenge, buckheadWALKS!.

Whether you’re walking to lunch, taking a meeting on foot, or getting steps in with your team, small choices add up to better health, stronger community connections, and even economic growth.

This free challenge is open to all Buckhead residents and employees from April 1–30.
