Recommendations Regarding Variations:
Elevation Changes: Front building elevation does not match submitted SAP. Accordian style window replaced with garage door.
Recommendation: The committee recommends the applicant submit an amendment to the SAP incorporating revised elevations that reflect actual conditions.
Outdoor Seating: Booths have been incorporated where tables were shown previously.
Recommendation: The committee recommends the applicant submit an amendment to the SAP incorporating revised plans that reflect the actual seating conditions.
String Lights: String lights are prohibited.
Recommendation: String lights are not under the purview of the Development Review Committee, but rather a bureau of buildings code issue. The applicant should contact code enforcement to seek a solution.
Vegetative Screening: Planter boxes have not been installed between surface parking and East Andrews.
Recommendation: The committee recommends the applicant correct this condition to satisfy the code requirement. The applicant noted a desire to incorporate planted landscape rather than raised planters. This is acceptable to the committee however the applicant is advised to consider the triggers for a land disturbance permit requirement which is 500 sf.
Pedestrian Striped Route from East Andrews to building entrance
Recommendation: The committee recommends the applicant incorporate the striped route to comply with the code and SAP requirements.
Bike Racks: The applicant did not install the required bike rack.
Recommendation: The committee recommends the applicant install the required bike rack to come into compliance with the code and SAP requirements.
The Development Committee does not expect to see this applicant again unless significant changes are made to the proposed plans that necessitate additional variations or the City staff requests additional input from the DRC.
