Section 16-18I.023(2)   Parking Requirements  Applicant is required to provide a minimum of 546 parking spaces  for the development, is sharing parking with the bottom level parking with the building next door and is requesting a variation to reduce the proposed minimum by 56 spaces to a total of 490 spaces.

            RecommendationThe committee withholds recommendation on this variation until the parking study is provided. 

 

Section 16-18I.020(b)  The applicant requests a variation to allow the driveway to be closer than 100 feet from the adjacent property.

            Recommendation:  The committee recommends approval of this request.

 

Section 16-18.020(5) Parking Structures – The parapet wall of the parking deck on the south and east elevations needs to be solid to screen the headlights.

Recommendation – The committee recommends the applicant revise plans to satisfy this requirement.

 

Section 16-18I.017(3)  Address – street address a minimum of 6 inches in height shall be located directly above the primary entrance.

Recommendation:  The committee recommends the applicant revise the plans to satisfy this requirement.

 

Section 16-18I.024 Membership in the TMA and Transportation Management Plans.

Recommendation:  The committee recommends the applicant join Livable Buckhead in the multifamily category at the Champion Level upon issuance of the land disturbance permit.

 

Suggested Changes

  • The committee recommends the applicant revise the designs to enhance the resident entrance driveway on the North Fulton side of the development.

The Development Committee does expect to see the parking study for this proposal, however, does not need to see the overall plan again unless significant changes are made to the proposed plans that necessitate additional variations or the City staff requests additional input from the DRC.
