Additional Recommendations

            The committee recommends the applicant incorporate a material that is architecturally consistent with the materiality of the building along the face of the base structure of the patio, rather than just leaving it as poured concrete.

The Development Committee does not expect to see this applicant again unless significant changes are made to the proposed plans that necessitate additional variations or the City staff requests additional input from the DRC.

 

  1. Committee Discussion – The committee discussed the recommendation from Livable Buckhead to incorporate a project checklist into the materials required for submission to the committee. The proposed checklist, focused on sustainability and other community priorities, would require applicants to provide thoughtful responses in advance helping to streamline meeting conversations and raise awareness about community initiatives and goals that fall outside code requirements, but impact developments.  A raft was provided for review and comment.  The committee discussed making the form web based with links to pertinent resources as well as incorporating items outside of sustainability like the buc shuttle operation and CID project coordination.  The City indicated a willingness to incorporate the form into their pre-application review process.
