2020 Q1 Spotlight: Lenbrook

 In Mobility

As time has gotten away from us these past few months, we are a little behind on nominating our quarterly spotlights. As a reminder, the employers and organizations that Livable Buckhead nominates each quarter are in the running for the Mobility Champion award that is given out at the Buckhead Business Association’s annual luncheon. These spotlights are given to businesses who are showing commitment to improving the health and wellbeing of their employees through commuter benefits. Programs such as working from home, transit discounts, and subsidies are just a few of the examples of how your company could make an impact.

Over the past couple years, Livable Buckhead has built an ongoing partnership with the Lenbrook Square Foundation. As Lenbrook began the expansion plans for their property, Livable Buckhead was brought in to prepare recommendations for an expected future parking issue. Because of construction, much of their parking would be taken away. Some employees and associates of Lenbrook were already taking alternative commutes including transit and carpool; however, Lenbrook now had to find innovative ways to convince more employees to not drive alone or to park elsewhere. We quickly created a Mobility Plan for Lenbrook that specified which commute options were best for which employees as well as incentive programs to encourage participation.

Lenbrook was then equipped with the knowledge and information needed to move forward when ready. And of course, as the current situation came about, Lenbrook moved quickly to implement programs that benefited their employees, residents and community as a whole. Now, they are providing employees with a daily cash out of up to $10/day to help them get to work. They have around 25 employees working from home full-time and part-time, with a plan to continue the part-time telework program as they begin returning to the office. They also hope to implement discounted transit passes when business is back to usual.

As strategies are put in place to return back to the office, Lenbrook will have to continually adapt these benefits to fit the needs of their employees. With their experience in piloting these programs, we expect Lenbrook employees to benefit long into the future.

We thank Lenbrook for their commitment to commuter programs and congratulate them on this nomination!
