Recommendations:

Section ********:  Applicant is adding four trees along the Oak Valley Road frontage which may not be consistent with the streetscape requirements.

Recommendation:  Should the City staff determine that a variation is needed to accommodate the proposed trees, the committee is supportive of approving the variation.

Additional Recommendations:

The committee recommends the applicant work with Katherine Dirga at MARTA to develop community artwork for the pedestrian bridge across East Paces Ferry Road.

The committee recommends the applicant coordinate with MARTA’s facilities maintenance division to conduct a deep cleaning within the interior of the pedestrian bridge.

The committee recommends the applicant incorporate designated areas for scooter and bicycle parking in the front plaza.

The committee recommends the applicant ensure the proposed modifications do not impede the ability for the buc shuttle to continue to provide last mile connectivity service to MARTA via the main drive.

The committee recommends the applicant make every effort possible to bring the sidewalk on the eastern side of the frontage up to a width consistent with the adjacent development and as close to the streetscape standards in the code as possible.

 The Development Committee does not expect to see this applicant again unless significant changes are made to the proposed plans that necessitate additional variations or the City staff requests additional input from the DRC.
