BuckheadRUN! 2025 – The Only 5K Where You Can Pet a Llama
Saturday May 3rd 8:00 am to 10:00 am
🐘 Run. Roar. Revel in Ridiculousness. 🦒🐊
|
This year, BuckheadRUN! isn’t just about running—it’s about making Buckhead a little wilder (without any actual wildlife escaping onto Peachtree Road). On Saturday, May 3rd, 2025, we’re hitting the streets to celebrate our future sculpted petting zoo along the new PATH400 extension. That’s right — later this year we’re bringing a life-sized elephant, a towering giraffe, and a not-so-menacing crocodile to the heart of the city. They won’t move, bite, or require snacks, but they will make Buckhead the coolest place to take a selfie.
Because we believe fun should be furry, feathery, or fantastically weird, we’re encouraging runners of all ages and abilities to dress as their favorite animals. Whether you gallop like a gazelle, waddle like a penguin, or just wear cat ears and call it a day, you’ll fit right in!

Step Outside for a Healthier You at Paws on the PATH

Spring in Buckhead is a time to shake off the winter blues, breathe in fresh air, and embrace the simple joy of movement. On April 5th, Paws on the PATH invites you and your four-legged best friend to do just that. This pet-friendly community event is more than just a walk along PATH400—it’s a chance to connect with neighbors, enjoy exciting pet-friendly activities, and experience the many ways nature can improve both physical and mental well-being.
If it feels like Buckhead is full of dog lovers, that’s because it is! According to the 2024 State of Buckhead Survey, 55% of Buckhead households have dogs, meaning more than 87,000 dogs call this neighborhood home. With so many pups and their owners eager to get outside and explore, Paws on the PATH offers the perfect opportunity to gather, socialize, and celebrate Buckhead’s vibrant pet-friendly community.
