Annie HirstAMLI Residential

Annie Hirst is Vice President of Development for AMLI Residential, where she is responsible for sourcing investment opportunities and managing development activities for multifamily projects in Atlanta.

Prior to joining AMLI in early 2015, Hirst was one of the development leads for Jamestown on the largest adaptive reuse project in Atlanta’s history: restoring 2.1 million square feet of an historic Sears Roebuck & Company warehouse into Ponce City Market, a mix of office, retail, residential and a central food hall. The project later received a ULI Global Award for Excellence in 2016. She began her real estate development career at Gables Residential, where she was a member of the Atlanta investments team from 2005 – 2009. Prior to Gables, she priced large scale commercial projects as an estimator for a regional general contractor.

Annie received a BSE from Princeton University in Civil and Environmental Engineering, where she also played varsity volleyball. She later completed an MBA at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, earning a dual concentration in Real Estate Finance and Sustainable Enterprise. During her time at Carolina, Annie was selected as a Center for Sustainable Enterprise Fellow.

Hirst currently serves on the Advisory Board for The Wood Center for Real Estate Studies at UNC’s Kenan-Flagler Business School in Chapel Hill and the Board of Directors for the Historic Fourth Ward Park Conservancy in Atlanta.  Annie, her husband Lukas, and their son Jack live in Morningside. They are avid tennis players, and enjoy spending time biking the Atlanta BeltLine and exploring the mountains of North Georgia.
