Yappy Hour

Join Livable Buckhead as we promote community engagement by celebrating our furry best friends, and the joy they bring to our lives. Gather to socialize with the humans for a Yappy Hour from 5 to 6pm, while the doggos enjoy getting to know each other in a safe and welcoming outdoor environment. Atlanta-based, Clean Club Mobile Grooming will be located at all these events, offering valuable pet care information, and on site $5.00 nail trims to visiting pups. Pawstries, the all-natural and gluten-free pet treat company, will be located at all of the Yappy Hours events. Guests will have the opportunity to pick up some tasty treat samples, for their pets, and make direct product purchases.

This event will take place twice per month from June to September.

InterContinental Buckhead Atlanta

Yappy Hours will be held at InterContinental / The Americano patio

  • These events will take place on The Americano Patio, located at the InterContinental Buckhead.
  • Complementary parking will be provided by the hotel (limited to the first 25).
  • The hotel will provide dog treats and water bowls with water, for their furry guests.
  • Light bites for dog owners will be also be provided by the hotel.
  • Additional food and drinks available for purchase.

Hyatt Centric Buckhead Atlanta

Yappy Hours will be located held at Hyatt Centric Buckhead Atlanta.

  • This event will accommodate up to 25 guests.
  • Guests are invited to walk along PATH400 and join us at the Hyatt Centric dog park adjacent PATH400 for a dog friendly gathering.
  • Afterwards, we will head to the hotel outdoor patio for light bites & a complimentary drink.
  • Additional food and drinks available for purchase.

Secret Gardens of PATH400

Bring your friends and family to create some magic on PATH400. During this event, Buckhead community members will build small, themed, secret gardens along PATH400. These magical spaces will remain in place for the duration of the summer, so that passersby can admire them. We encourage Buckhead area schools, scout groups, art centers, garden clubs and similar organizations to participate. This event will also include family-friendly activities such a visit with llamas, treats, and giveaways.

Continue the celebration afterwards, with activities including:

  • Afterwards, guests are invited to walk alone PATH400 to InterContinental, for an “After Gardens Party”
  • This event will be held from 3:00pm to 5:00pm and will accommodate up to 50 people max.
  • It will be held in the hotel garden, or inside if it rains.
  • InterContinental will provide live music and complimentary light bites.
  • A cash bar will be located on-site and additional food will be available for purchase.

Pedal Together: Cycling Safety

Bring your bikes and the family to our community cycling safety event for all ages.

This family-friendly event is perfect for teaching children essential cycling skills, from handling their bikes to understanding traffic signs and staying safe on the roads.

  • Learn the basics: Traffic signs & signals, riding with traffic, proper helmet use & care
  • Safety checks & maintenance tips: Keep your bike running smoothly!
  • Helmet fittings: Ensure a safe and comfortable ride
  • Safety demonstrations & giveaways: Fun and informative activities for all ages

Bicycling education can increase participation in bicycling, improve individual bicycling confidence, and improve overall motor skills. Education will also emphasize the importance of protective safety equipment and good bicycle maintenance practices. Bicycle safety training and education is incorporated into life-long, comprehensive traffic safety education.

This event will be led by partners from Patagonia Atlanta, Propel ATL, Safe Routes to School and the YMCA.
Please be aware that bees are present at 684 Mountain Way Park, and you will need to fill out our liability waiver prior to attending the event. There are no public restrooms available.

Buckhead Run + Walk Club

Livable Buckhead and the Buckhead community has created the best running club in the city. This run club is open to all levels. Run, walk or even cartwheel – we just want to see you out on PATH400!

Tuesdays Weekly Run + Walk: The Buckhead Run + Walk Club is a great opportunity to get into a weekly running routine or simply enjoy the safety of a group run, join us every Tuesday at 6:00pm at Citizens Market/Phipps Plaza (3500 Peachtree Road NE Atlanta GA 30326) for this weekly run.

Salty Sundays Run + Walk Club: Join the Buckhead Run + Walk crew one Saturday morning each month in 2024 for a 3 or 5 mile walk / run through Buckhead. After your workout, indulge in The Salty Donut with a 15% discount.

This event is open to all levels. Run, walk or even cartwheel – we just want to see you out! We meet up 8:00am at The Salty – Buckhead (5 W Paces Ferry Rd NW, Atlanta, GA 30305) and anticipate it lasting about an hour. There is free parking directly behind The Salty Donut as well as free parking in the parking lot located next to The Salty Donut. Runners can also pay to park at the Hanover parking deck as well.

Miami Circle Gallery Strolls

Miami Circle is home to the largest single gathering of fine art galleries in Atlanta. Join us for this FREE event, experiencing some of the foremost art galleries while discovering stunning local, regional and international artists.

Miami Circle is MARTA adjacent and free parking is available or extend your stroll and use PATH400. Whether it’s your first-time seeing Miami Circle, or you’re a regular, there’s a good chance you’ll discover something new while wandering in and out of each of the dozen or so galleries. Enjoy wine and small bites at several of the venues, while taking your time soaking up the visual splendor within.

What’s better than ice cream on a hot afternoon? Supporting a local nonprofit!

Join Patagonia for an ice cream social Saturday, June 15th at Patagonia Buckhead. All proceeds will be collected as donations for our local nonprofit friends from Georgia River Network. Pints of brews will also be available for those of age. So, bring the kiddos by for an afternoon of Patagonia fun featuring coloring activities, freebies, and a chance to win some sweet new gear. Get ready to learn more about the amazing work our local community is doing for our planet!

Summer Kids Series

Join Patagonia Buckhead on Tuesday, July 23 + Tuesday, July 30 for their Summer Kids Series. Stop by for an opportunity to make upcycled crafts, learn about our planet + see some cool critters between the hours of 10:30 AM – 12 PM. Light refreshments and a chance to win some new Patagonia gear will be provided. All proceeds from suggested giveaway entries will directly benefit our nonprofit partners.
