Under the leadership of Hon. Councilmember Howard Shook, Old Ivy Park was acquired by a unique partnership between the City of Atlanta’s Department of Parks and Recreation and Livable Buckhead, a local nonprofit organization.
Old Ivy Park is a 0.7 acre parcel located on Old Ivy Road at the junction with the recently completed phase one of PATH400 Greenway in Buckhead. Old Ivy Park serves multiple community needs, serving as a point of interest for walkers and cyclists on PATH400 as well as a gathering spot and neighborhood park for North Buckhead residents – both in the single family neighborhoods and the urban high rises just across Lenox Road.
Following a series of public meetings, stakeholder meetings and steering committee input a conceptual plan for Old Ivy Park was drafted for the future of Old Ivy Park. A public meeting was held on August 22nd, to obtain the public’s valuable input, feedback and comments regarding the conceptual plan for Old Ivy Park.
