Partnerships: A Path For Success
As everyone knows, one of Livable Buckhead’s main ways of getting things done is through partnerships. Those partnerships range from local civic associations to partner non-profits to private sector companies – anywhere we can find a like-minded partner we look for ways to work with them!
One of the newer partnerships that has proven to be beneficial over the last few years, is the partnership between Livable Buckhead and Buckhead Rotary. One of the most visible parts of that partnership started during COVID when both organizations recognized a need to actively demonstrate community support for our fire fighters and police.
Buckhead Rotary had an established connection with the Atlanta Fire Rescue Foundation because of former President Elizabeth Gill’s tragic loss of her daughter in a Buckhead fire. This relationship jumpstarted the effort for us to provide ongoing support. For the last two years, through quarterly cookouts for both Zone 2 of the Atlanta Police and the Buckhead Fire Battalion, we have provided camaraderie, fellowship and have simply showed our gratitude and appreciation. In addition, we work together to provide holiday dinner and deliver it to every single fire station in the City, we have provided much needed supplies for the stations, and we even put a little holiday cheer into the fire stations with decorated Christmas trees!
These are some of the nicest people who literally put themselves in harm’s way to keep us safe, but they often go unrecognized and un-thanked. Through this partnership Livable Buckhead and Buckhead Rotary are working to change that and make sure they feel our love.
