Community Planting Day – Orchard Trees at Mountain Way Common – CANCELLED

March 21, 2020 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am

Grab your friends, coworker, or neighbor and join Livable Buckhead for a community planting day at Mountain Way Common Park!

Through the Atlanta Local Food Initiative’s Orchard Project, Livable Buckhead is bringing fruit trees to the North Buckhead Neighborhood. Our team will be planting plum, paw paw, apple, and pear trees at Mountain Way Common Park along PATH400. These fruit trees will not only be a beautiful enhancement to the park, but will also bear fruit for the community to enjoy for years to come! This event provides an extraordinary opportunity to promote community involvement and encourage environmental stewardship, while making an immediate and tangible impact on one of Buckhead’s newest parks. During our community planting day, we will plant our fruit trees and work on refreshing the natural trails throughout Mountain Way Common. No previous experience is necessary, just a willingness to pitch in, get a little dirty, and have some fun making a tangible difference in the park. For those who prefer not to plant, we encourage you to join us and watch the transformation take place. Tools will be provided for by Livable Buckhead and the Atlanta Toolbank.

Parking: Street parking is available on the adjacent street, Mountain Drive

Please note:
