Project Scope: Tesla is proposing to install a total of (12) Level 2 EV Chargers inside the existing Atlanta Tech Village parking deck. (6) chargers will be installed on the ground floor level of the parking deck and (6) chargers will be installed on the top floor level of the parking deck. All of the proposed chargers will be fed from the existing Georgia Power transformer located just outside the southeast entrance to the parking deck. Georgia Power has already confirmed the existing transformer can support Tesla’s power requirements for this site without any upgrades. All of the proposed chargers and supporting electrical equipment will be installed inside the existing parking deck and will not be visible to the general public. No alterations, upgrades or other changes are proposed on the outside of the existing parking deck.

The DRC requests the Office of Zoning and Development staff to provide assign a planner to this project to provide guidance to this applicant as to next steps regarding the process for approving this work.

The Development Review Committee commends the applicant for taking steps to install charging stations as one of the community goals is to have charging stations within one mile of all areas.

The Development Committee does not expect to see this applicant again
