Clear The Deck
Do you want to be in the race to clear more parking spaces than anywhere else in the Atlanta region?
Soon, school will be back in and the number of people driving into Buckhead will again be too many (like it’s not already). However, your building or company can work to prepare for the influx of parking demand. Clear the Deck, August 19-23, is the perfect time to challenge commuters to take an alternative to driving. Encouragement, education, and experience allow commuters to feel more comfortable with all of their options. By joining this promotion, you will be challenged to clear as many parking spaces as possible for at least one day during the week of August 19th. Make it fun with designated days, such as Telework Tuesday, Bike-in Wednesday, and Transit Thursdays.
If you would like to sign up, you will enroll using an online form. Be prepared with parking information on your work site. The website will include a running tally featuring the number of registrants, number of parking spaces pledged to clear, and the amount of total savings (parking, maintenance, fuel costs) for employers, as well as a real-time leaderboard. There will be incentives to sign up: if your work site is one of the first 20 to register, your employees can log on gacommuteoptions.com to be entered for $50 raffle drawings. There will also be recognition and awards for the top three workplaces in the region.
If you’re wondering how your workplace can help clear congestion in the Atlanta region, this is a great way to start!
