About the Event
Clean Walks, in partnership with Livable Buckhead, will host an event on Saturday, October 29th to clean up around the Marie Sims Park area. Clean Walks is an nonprofit organization to promote, educate, and enhance awareness of a clean, neat and beautiful environment for our communities through events and environment clean up. It was founded by Mei Lin, an Atlanta resident who began carrying a bag with her each time she went for a walk so she could collect trash as she went. She formed Clean Walks to encourage other people to do the same, and to arrange group clean-up events.
Saturday’s clean-up is part of a monthly “clean walks” series that will focus on cleaning up along Buckhead’s busiest streets. Volunteers should bring gloves, grabbers and trash bags.
COVID Protocols: This is an outdoor event and masks are not required; however, we ask that all unvaccinated individuals please wear a mask while participating in this volunteer event.
