SUMMARY:Weekend Warrior: Chastain Park Conservancy
DESCRIPTION:Weekends are for greenspace! We encourage our participants to visit a local park\, trail or greenspace and just get outside over the the weekend. There’s no requirement on the park that you visit. Each week participants will have an opportunity to earn 75 points for visiting a new local park or trail during the challenge. \nInterested in learning about new parks to explore? Livable Buckhead has joined forces with REI and 9 other organizations to encourage Metro Atlanta residents to get outside and visit a local park by participating in a separate challenge called Hikes For Health. \nThis weekend check out Chastain Park. Chastain Memorial Park (originally known as the North Fulton Park\, commonly known as Chastain Park) is the largest city park in Atlanta\, Georgia. It is a 268-acre (1.08 km2) park near the northern edge of the city. Included in the park are jogging paths\, playgrounds\, tennis courts\, a golf course\, swimming pool\, horse park and amphitheater. Public areas of the park remain open and free to the public including: nature trails along Alex Cooley Drive\, bocce ball courts\, palisades\, PATH and now the golf course’s cart paths. Please note the Playground is CLOSED until further notice. As far as restrooms\, only the playground restrooms remain open. \nLearn more at https://www.chastainparkconservancy.org/
