It is your personal choice whether or not to wear a mask while running\, but there will be Ziploc bags available for those wanting to leave mask behind during the run. And of course storage for any personal items (keys\, phones\, etc.).\nPlease practice social distancing and respect each other’s personal space. This will apply before\, during and after running.\nThe hotel currently has restricted access for guest use only. DESCRIPTION:Topic: 30 Days In The Shoes of John Lewis \n\n\n\nBorn and raised in Atlanta\, Georgia\, Kwanza Hall is the son of the late Leon W. Hall\, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s youngest lieutenant. An alumnus of Benjamin E. Mays High School in Atlanta\, husband\, and father of two\, Hall has dedicated his life to be a public servant for those who call Atlanta home. For 15 years\, Hall served as an elected official on Atlanta City Council and on the Atlanta School Board. He represented the city’s most socially and economically diverse council district. As Councilman for District 2\, Hall has been recognized for leadership in many areas\, including economic inclusion\, workforce development\, urban design\, and arts and culture. In 2013\, the W.K. Kellogg Foundation recognized his initiative to expand opportunities to families in an Atlanta neighborhood with the highest concentration of poverty in the southeastern United States. Prior to his election to the Atlanta City Council\, Hall served on the Atlanta Board of Education. Hall is the immediate past chair of the Atlanta City Council’s International Relations Committee. He has been a fellow of the German Marshall Fund and a number of U.S. State Department programs. Hall served on the World Affairs Council\, Leadership Atlanta\, and the National Center for Civil and Human Rights. \nPreviously\, Hall worked as Vice President of Technology for GoodWorks International LLC\, a public affairs consulting firm co-chaired by Ambassador Andrew Young. He also worked as Director of Business Development for MACTEC Engineering and Consulting\, Inc. Kwanza was appointed as a Senior Fellow of the Global Federation of Competitiveness Councils. In 2012\, Georgia State University honored him with the Pioneer Award\, its highest recognition for leadership promoting arts and culture in downtown Atlanta. In 2011\, Atlanta’s Park Pride honored Kwanza for governmental leadership in parks and greenspace advocacy. He was also voted by an independent media panel as one of the 100 Most Influential Atlantans. Atlanta’s American Institute of Architects chapter created the Kwanza Hall Award for civic leadership in architectural design. Katie Gable\, program manager for mobility services of Livable Buckhead\, will share data on telework during the pandemic and provide insights on structuring effective\, flexible workplaces. \n\n\n\nAbout Katie Gable: Program Manager\, Mobility Services – Livable Buckhead\nKatie Gable is the Program Manager of Mobility Services with Livable Buckhead and has been with the organization for the past three years. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications from Georgia College & State University in Milledgeville\, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Prior to her current role\, Katie interned in the communications department at the Georgia Department of Transportation and managed the communications and operations of an emerging\, socially conscious furniture brand. Before and during the pandemic\, Katie has focused much of her time at Livable Buckhead on improving employers’ flex work programs\, implementing policies at local companies including Cumulus Media and Rubicon. DESCRIPTION:Bringing back group runs in a safe\, respectful and comfortable way. \nGuidelines: \n\nMeet outside in front of Hyatt Place Buckhead entrance. Parking is available in adjacent parking garage which allows first two-hours free.\nWear a mask while waiting to run. It is your personal choice whether or not to wear a mask while running\, but there will be Ziploc bags available for those wanting to leave mask behind during the run. And of course storage for any personal items (keys\, phones\, etc.).\nPlease practice social distancing and respect each other’s personal space. This will apply before\, during and after running.\nThe hotel currently has restricted access for guest use only. However\, we will make bathroom exceptions upon request – masks required in all public areas inside hotel.\nWaters\, masks and hand sanitizers will be available as needed.\nStaggered start times beginning at 5:30 pm with those considered fastest going first (8:30/mile or less) and others pacing out after.\nPlease stay separated while running\, in groups no larger than four runners. This is your personal responsibility and we ask that you stay mindful and respectful of other runner’s choices.\nALL paces welcome – runners & walkers. Routes will be available for 2\, 3\, or 5 mile workouts.\nWhen you return from your run you are welcome to hang out and visit for a bit\, but please put masks back on.\n\nThis is meant to be a fun\, enjoyable\, relaxing\, safe experience and to help make us all feel part of a run family again.

SUMMARY:PATH400 - Peachtree Park Graffiti Cleanup
DESCRIPTION:On May 1st\, the Peachtree Park neighbors and Livable Buckhead invite you and your family to join a morning cleanup on PATH400. We’ll spend the morning reclaiming space along PATH400 tagged with graffiti. Livable Buckhead will provide all supplies and lead the effort on repainting columns and walls along the Miami Circle to Lenox Square section of the path.\n\nIn addition to the graffiti painting\, volunteers may be asked to pick up trash and a few other beautification projects on the trail. No previous experience is necessary\, just a willingness to pitch in\, get a little dirty and have some fun making a tangible difference on PATH400.\n\nAll volunteers must sign a liability waiver prior to participating in our group service\nprogram.\n\nVolunteers will meet at the Peachtree Park Entrance of PATH400 at Peachtree Dr & East Paces.\n\nAll tools and materials will provided by Livable Buckhead.\n\nPARKING & TRANSPORTATION\nParking is available on neighbor streets adjacent to the Peachtree Park neighborhood entrance of PATH400.
