DESCRIPTION:Give your city cycling confidence a boost with this instructional group ride. It is open to all adults and youth aged 13 and above accompanied by a parent or caregiver. \nWhat to expect\nWe will gather for a few quick drills then combine riding PATH400 with the city streets for a 45-minute ride of three to four gentle miles. Once rolling\, we’ll \n\nTake it slow\, stay together\, and practice our skills in a safe and supportive manner\nExperience Atlanta’s existing bicycle facilities\, like two-directional protected and/or single-directional bike lanes and sharrows.\nExperience how one can commute combining MARTA and bicycling. Thanks to an in-kind donation from MARTA\, all participants will receive a Breeze card loaded with two trips.\n\nHow to prepare\nPlease bring a bicycle in good repair that fits you and a helmet. E-bikeshare will be on hand for a free one-time use and a Relay Bike Share is nearby for rent if you do not have a bicycle available to you. Routes will be available for 2\, 3\, or 5 mile workouts. Meet outside in front of Hyatt Place Buckhead entrance. Parking is available in adjacent parking garage which allows first two-hours free.

Melody will present on the $24.7M in federal American Rescue Plan funds that Invest Atlanta has received to support local businesses. \nAbout Livable Buckhead’s Employer Council: \nBuckhead is a major driver of Atlanta’s and Georgia’s economy generating $2.9 Billion in gross annual retail sales. Buckhead has 23M square feet of commercial office development\, 5\,858 hotel rooms\, an estimated 1\,500 retail outlets\, and over 300 restaurants. While 87\,000 people call Buckhead home\, the daytime population swells to an estimated 140\,000 as workers\, tourists and business people go about their day. Employers play a vital role in the sustainability of the community and Livable Buckhead wants to help them stay informed and committed to the goal of sustainability. \nThe council is open to all Buckhead employers to serve on and provides information vital for Buckhead employers\, serves as networking opportunity\, and meets every other month. \nIf you are interested in joining our Employer Council\, let us know!

DESCRIPTION:Livable Buckhead’s January Commercial Property Managers Meeting will highlight MARTA’s major station renovation project as well as recent updates on development and sustainability efforts in the community. \nAbout Livable Buckhead’s Commercial Property Managers’ Committee: \nCommercial properties in Buckhead play a huge role in sustainability efforts. From energy and water consumption to EV charging to influence over occupant commutes to land-use imprint\, Buckhead commercial properties are leading the way in Atlanta. More than 19-million square feet of commercial buildings participated in the Atlanta Better Building Challenge\, the goal which was to reduce energy and water consumption by 20% by 2020… goals exceeded earlier than planned. \nThe committee is open to the Buckhead commercial property management team members to serve on and reports to the Livable Buckhead Board of Directors.
